Many cities from Vancouver Island to the Fraser Valley have updated bylaws or adopted new policies for secondary suites and detached residences (such as laneway houses and garden suites) to improve housing affordability.
The City of Vancouver is not the only municipality to make changes that will cut down approval times for secondary-style residences, we are also seeing similar trends in cities and towns like Gibsons, Chilliwack, Victoria and Maple Ridge!
